1955 Chevrolet Bel Air Convertible (CA for sale in Citrus Heights, California

$148,900

1955 Chevrolet Bel Air Convertible (CA) - $148,900
Beautiful Extremely Rare Color-code Correct Onyx Black/India Ivory Two-tone Exterior & Shadow Gray/India Ivory Interior. This interior / exterior color combo was a California limited spring edition release from the factory and is so rare that even the judges at the International Chevy Show had to check color codes before believing it was the stock colors. This very well could be the only remaining '55 convertible with these factory color combos still in existence.

**Original-Stock California car, having never been modified, with the only minor exceptions being: New glass-packed mufflers and a Kleenex dispenser that was converted into a cassette player holder. This car has never been in an accident, the body does not have any cancer or bondo, and is in perfect condition. Every piece and part in and on the car is totally original, down to the nuts, bolts, and even the screws. You name it, it's the original. She has the original Wiring Harness, Grill, Bumpers, Chevy Engine, Grill-guard, Gravel-guards, Rocker Moldings, Wonder-bar Radio, Standard Heater, Fender Skirts, Finger Nail guards, Side Mirrors, Day/Night Rearview Mirror, and Bumper Trims {bumperettes on each corner of the bumpers}. To the best of my knowledge, everything on the car is original or restored with only NOS GM parts. Correct matching numbers & Continental kit.
**Factory engine with only 16,502 original miles. It's 265 engine was bored out to a 283 with hardened exhaust seats by Dave Westgate.
**Shown in several car shows, routinely beating trailer-queens, having won approximately 75 First Place trophies and awards at various shows throughout California & Nevada, including:
1st place at Hot August Nights, Reno, Nevada;
1st place in Stock-Original Class at Sacramento Autorama;
1st Place winner in the Stock '55 Class at Three International Classic Chevy Shows.
**If it weren't for storage constraints this would have won several more trophies over the years but the seller's grandfather began refusing any trophies during the past few years. Most all trophies will be included with the car.
**Full ownership history known with documented receipts for restoration.
**Hands down, this is one of the most beautiful '55 Bel Air convertibles still in existence. Since restoration was completed, this takes 1st place at every car show entered. Show ready classic car and one that you can be assured no one else will have in this stock color option! MANY MORE PHOTOS AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST.
